This two CD-set has a collection of some of the best talent of the Saint Philomena family, including Michael John Poirier, Eric Genuis and L'Angéus. Each individual who contributed to the creation of this offering have their own Saint Philomena "story." Something everyone who has encountered this saint well understands.
The very name of Philomena contains the words:
filia luminis, daughter of light. She is the enlightener of a dark and corrupt
age confounding the sneers of materialism. She is the Patroness of the
Children of Mary and the
Universal Living Rosary Association
.
Her mission today is to draw us to the Immaculate Heart of Mary through
imitation of her heroic virtues of purity, obedience and humility. Saint
Philomena is an anchor of HOPE in this dark age of despair. Few saints we know
of have a similar pattern, of coming into each of our lives strongly, powerfully
and unmistakably.
Few who turn their gaze to this saint escape being recruited into the army our Lord seems to be assembling these days in the battle to save souls. Saint Philomena is also one of the saints with a clear "specialty." Her specialty seems to be conversion. In this age where every soul cannot be taken for granted, cannot be left behind, Saint Philomena is hard at work attracting the attention and then the gaze of souls who follow her to a new life in Christ Jesus. Conversion is truly Saint Philomena's specialty. Additionally her patronage covers both spiritual and temporal needs, she listens to you no matter how small or big your request. Those who love Saint Philomena will find this CD presentation a special way to bring your heart closer to her. Those who have never heard of her, be forewarned, she will move into your heart, she will take you, willing or not, into the loving arms of Our Lord through Our Lady. It is no coincidence that the Shrine of Saint Philomena, in Mugnano del Cardinale, Avellino, Italy, is named the Church of Our Lady of Grace. The clear connection between Saint Philomena and Our Lady manifest in major statues at such Marian locations as La Salette nudging souls to turn their gaze to Our Lady. You will hear in the narration of Dr. Mark Mriavalle's book, the story Saint Philomena related to a nun so many years ago. We invite you to listen, enjoy and let the love of our Lord move into you through the words of the story, songs and prayers to this most powerful saint of the twenty-first century.
